Alright, so some how I did the "Game of the Week" write up on South Florida at Rutgers. Unfortunately, that game takes place next week so I pulled that portion of the content. While I would usually go through the effort of providing a new GOTW write up, there isn't really a game in the Big East worth talking about this week. So, you'll just have to wait until next week to read what I have to say about Rutgers and South Florida.
Somebody grab a CO2 extinguisher, one of these guys is about to go critical:
Still dealing with the loss of a player and a last minute collapse to Rutgers last weekend, the Huskies are in no shape to deal with the best team in the Big East. Collaros has completed nearly 80% of his passes in the past two starts, has 7 TD passes, and not a single interception. If Pike has to sit for another week, Collaros has proven he can get the job done. If Pike is able to play, we all know what he is capable of doing.
Louisville @ West Virginia After an embarrassing loss, the Mountaineers are ready to get back in the running for the conference championship. They are still in control of their destiny with only one conference loss, but a victory over Louisville is a must to make the games against Pittsburgh and Cincinnati matter. A two loss West Virginia doesn’t stand much of chance at taking the championship. Prediction: West Virginia 38 - Louisville 20 Syracuse @ Pittsburgh Dion Lewis is going to beat up the Orangemen defensive front with his great lateral speed and Bill Stull has the veteran presence in the pocket to beat 'Cuse down field. I've stopped expecting Pittsburgh to blow their season with a loss to an underdog which might be my undoing. Prediction: Pittsburgh 42 - Syracuse 24 The Huskies don’t stand much of a chance in this game and really only have one more opportunity to get a win for Jasper Howard when they meet Syracuse on November 28. Here’s hoping the Bearcats don’t completely destroy Connecticut. Prediction: Cincinnati 35 - Connecticut 21
