In Week 7's bracket we find the Big East without a conference champion in the top six seeds which is the result of Pittsburgh having played one more conference game than Cincinnati pushing them ahead in the conference standings. With Pitt ranking 26th in the AP, the Big East losses it top six representation, but since Cincinnati is ranked high enough, they squeak in to a play-in game. LSU and TCU are out this week and rightfully so. LSU looked horrible against Florida and TCU barely managed to get by a mediocre Air Force squad. LSU fans should fret though with plenty of potential losses still ahead for the top 9 teams in the country. As for the match ups this week. The Boise State and Miami game would be a good one as well as the USC and Cincinnati. I don't really feel overly excited about these two match ups though. For the football purist, Boise State's offense against the Miami defense would be fun to watch, but I'm not sure how explosive the game would be. Cincinnati and USC has the potential to be a slaughter in either teams favor which again would be interesting, all the way until it was a slaughter and you changed the channel. The best part of this weekly article is that the rankings are always changing, and if you feel underwhelmed then we can always start looking forward to next week.
