Quick Notes and things to remember: (i.e. The bracket assumes the season ends today!) PAC-10 lost it's representation due to their conference champion, Stanford, not ranking in the Top 25. As the top ranked At-Large bid, Alabama moved into the PAC-10 position allowing for addition At-Large team to be invited. USC, while not the PAC-10 Champion, receives an at-large Bid to BCS Playoff. This is new territory. As this playoff idea has grown over the past three years, we haven't seem a situation arise which leaves a conference champion out of the bracket while allowing an at large from the same conference. This could be a short lived hiccup with the system or a major flaw which might need to be addressed. While I'm not completely sure about my feelings for this scenario, I think it highlights an issue with our current system of vote rankings. USC prestige has been carrying them high in the rankings since their loss to Washington which seems a bit unfair to the teams sitting atop the conference out west. Although, life isn't fair and generally, neither are human rankings. SEC representation will be deteremined by the outcome of the LSU-Florida game next weekend, and the SEC Championship game in early December. So for all of you who think the SEC is "unfairly" represented in the bracket, I assure you that the season will sort things out. For right now, just enjoy the chaotic bracket...
